NEWMAN WACHS ANNOUNCE “QUIT !”
Starting at the Houston Grand Prix this week, Paul Newman and Eddie Wachs announce they will use their machines as a rolling “billboard” to encourage race fans to QUIT! smoking.
With their philosophy and passion, Newman Wachs Racing searches for performance everyday and looks for every possible tool to enhance that level of performance. “Anyone who cares about personal health and performance should not allow smoking to control their lives”, states Eddie Wachs, “and we want to stress this message through our involvement in motorsports. “
“Performance in motorsports, as in all high stress venues, depends on the ultimate in fitness. Our Champ Car Atlantic team including the mechanics, pit crew, engineers as well as our drivers, could not function without a smoke-free environment.” continues Wachs, “The fact is that smoking is the number-one most preventable cause of death. Take your pick, emphysema, cancer, or heart disease. Simply put, quit and you’ll live longer.”
Newman Wachs Racing spends every waking hour looking for an advantage on the track and within the team. Society should make it a point to carry this same philosophy within daily life and continue to look towards improving overall health. One major step is to QUIT ! smoking. NWR is passionate about this message and is a team that will back it up to race fans and the general public.
Newman Wachs Racing, in their landmark year, will prove to be the one’s to watch.
