Regional ACS Chapter Partners With NWR for Cancer Patients announcement of Newman Wachs Racing’s (NWR) QUIT! campaign, NWR partners with the regional chapter of the American Cancer Society (ACS) to better serve the citizens of The regional chapter of ACS announces two new charity drives during the Canary Foundation Grand Prix of ‘Cars For A Cure’ campaign asks racing fans to donate a car, truck, van, recreational vehicle or boat. The proceeds from the sale of the donated vehicle will go to support the ACS and the donation is tax deductible. NWR also joins the ‘Car and Drivers’ campaign, a program which matches volunteer drivers to cancer patients in need of regular transportation to treatment facilities. “The American Cancer Society is a mainstay in public awareness and research regarding cancer,” said Cea Larkin, Director of Marketing for NWR. “Their principles mirror not only those of our QUIT! campaign, but those of the entire Newman Wachs Racing team.” The ACS, founded in 1913, has invested nearly $3 billion in cancer research since its inception and has funded 38 Nobel Prize winners. The ACS continues to provide contributions supporting research, prevention, patient services, and treatment to the community.
